Designed to look like a real acorn, the Motz Mini Acorn Speaker looks natural and is a great accessory that can be used as an external sound amplifying speaker for music players and phones and includes a built in FM radio.

Made entirely from apricot tree wood and connects to your mobile phone or portable media player via the 3.5-mm cable.

The sound produced by this tiny little speaker is surprising strong and is not only practical but a great little fashion accessory. Also since it's so light (15g!) you can carry it by hand, bag or throw it in your pocket.

Besides working as a portable speaker, the gadget has built-in FM radio functionality with auto-scan mode so you can listen to your favorite radio stations while on the go.

The device measures 30 x 30 x 35 mm at 15 grams and operates for up to 10 hours with earphones, or 5 hours without earphones. The frequency band is of 87.5 ~ 108 MHz.

Battery Life:
Their integrated Lithium Polymer batteries are high-quality and long lasting. Charge via the USB interface. If the unit’s being used as a speaker, it will run for roughly five hours in either iPod or radio mode, doubling that run time if it’s being used as a radio with attached headphones. Great battery life for events, picnics and outings.

FM Radio:
Radio tuning and volume adjustment require the use of a tiny four-directional joystick built into each device, though the functions are only labeled on the acorn with +/ - volume indicators and arrow-marked station indicators

Sound Strength:
Roughly twice the amplification of an iPhone 4, three or four times that of an iPod touch, and a little bit more power than an iPad. When connected to external devices, the Motz speakers uses external device controls rather than the Motz joystick for volume controls.
