The Sydney Opera House was conceived and built by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, and opened in 1973. The Sydney Opera House was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 28 June 2007. It is one of the 20th century's most distinctive buildings and one of the most famous performing arts centres in the world. The Sydney Opera House is situated on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, close to the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Inspiration for the Landmarque Series
Having become interested in the stories behind some of the world's great landmarks Design by House began to explore ways of expressing their iconic nature without succumbing to the silhouette. The results of this process lead to the 'Landmarque' print series; using layers of shapes and colour to recreate the familiar forms and evoke a sense of location.
